Ahead of their first performance back in 2006, the band were asked what they would like to be billed as, to which they jokingly responded “The Skull F*cks”… one spelling mistake, 4 E.P’s, several lineup changes, a few hiatuses, a name change, a name change back, almost 2 decades of general misadventure and a long awaited debut album later (2019’s “Kill It!”) - Skull Fox have established themselves as a mainstay of the UK Midlands Metal scene.
Musically Skull Fox wear their influences on their sleeves, having grown up on a steady diet of Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Nirvana and Metallica, the band have not strayed far from their roots; BIG stoner-rock infused riffs, Anthemic choruses with harmonised aggro/melodic vocals, twin guitar leads, wah/shred solos, and the odd experimental-proggy/jazz-fusion section.
